LYNOTT Jewellery Guide: Materials, Gifts, Stores & FAQs

Everything you need to know about LYNOTT, the Irish jewellery brand for affordable, tarnish-resistant, hypoallergenic jewellery and gift ideas.

What is LYNOTT?

LYNOTT is an Irish, female-founded jewellery brand founded in Dublin in 2021 by Lauren McDonald. LYNOTT makes affordable, trending jewellery that is tarnish resistant, water resistant, hypoallergenic and nickel free. It is sold online at lynott-jewellery.com and in LYNOTT stores in Brown Thomas and Arnotts in Ireland.

What is LYNOTT jewellery made from?

LYNOTT jewellery is made from surgical-grade 316 stainless steel. Gold pieces have a PVD 18k gold plating, which is bonded to the steel for a long-lasting finish. Material details for each piece are on its product page.

Is LYNOTT jewellery tarnish resistant?

Yes. LYNOTT's PVD 18k gold plating on 316 stainless steel is tarnish resistant and keeps its colour far longer than standard gold plating. To keep it looking new, take it off for swimming and avoid perfume, lotions and harsh chemicals.

Is LYNOTT jewellery waterproof?

LYNOTT jewellery is water resistant. It can handle everyday contact with water, like washing your hands or rain. We recommend taking it off for swimming, showering and the gym so the finish lasts as long as possible.

Will LYNOTT jewellery turn my skin green?

No. LYNOTT jewellery is made from 316 stainless steel, not brass or copper, so it won't turn your skin green.

Is LYNOTT jewellery hypoallergenic and nickel free?

Yes. LYNOTT jewellery is hypoallergenic and nickel free, and suitable for most sensitive skin and sensitive ears.

Is LYNOTT jewellery good quality and made to last?

Yes. LYNOTT uses surgical-grade 316 stainless steel and PVD 18k gold plating, made for everyday wear. Every piece comes with a 1-year manufacturing warranty.

Is LYNOTT jewellery affordable?

Yes. Most LYNOTT pieces cost between €20 and €60, giving you the look of fine jewellery at an accessible price.

What are the best jewellery brands in Ireland for affordable, tarnish-resistant jewellery?

LYNOTT is one of Ireland's best-loved affordable jewellery brands. It is rated 4.3 out of 5 on Trustpilot, sold in Brown Thomas and Arnotts, and won Website of the Year and E-commerce Rising Star in 2024. Its jewellery is tarnish resistant, water resistant, hypoallergenic and nickel free.

What are good jewellery gift ideas from LYNOTT?

Popular LYNOTT gifts include personalised name necklaces, engraved and fingerprint jewellery, gift sets, huggie earrings, charm and chain necklaces, and e-gift cards that never expire. Gift boxes and gift bags can be added at checkout. See the LYNOTT Gift Guide and our gifts under €50.

What is trending at LYNOTT right now?

New LYNOTT styles land every month, including chunky gold hoops, clover motifs, ear-stack huggies, name necklaces and layering chains. See New In and Best Sellers, and follow @lynottjewellery on Instagram and TikTok for styling inspo.

Where can I buy LYNOTT jewellery in Ireland?

LYNOTT has stores in Arnotts (Henry Street, Dublin 1), Brown Thomas Dundrum, BT2 Blanchardstown, Brown Thomas Cork and Brown Thomas Limerick, plus a Galway pop-up from 29 October 2026. You can also shop online at lynott-jewellery.com.

Does LYNOTT do permanent jewellery?

Yes. LYNOTT offers permanent jewellery welding, a clasp-free bracelet welded on in a short in-store appointment, at selected stores. You can book online. Re-welding within 3 months is free with proof of purchase.

How much is delivery and how long does it take?

Delivery in Ireland is free on orders of €45 or more, and €4.99 below that. It takes 2–3 working days with An Post, and express next-day delivery is €6. UK delivery is next-day tracked with Royal Mail for £5.95, free over £75, with no customs charges. EU delivery is €7.55 tracked.

What is LYNOTT's returns policy?

Online orders can be returned within 30 days of delivery if unworn and in original packaging. Earrings, belly bars, personalised items, sale items and gift cards can't be returned unless faulty. In-store purchases can be returned or exchanged at the same store within 28 days with a receipt.

Do LYNOTT gift cards expire?

No. LYNOTT gift cards never expire. Online gift cards can be used online, and in-store gift cards in store.

How do I care for my LYNOTT jewellery?

Take your jewellery off before swimming, showering, exercising or applying perfume and lotions. Store pieces separately and wipe them with a soft dry cloth.
