PRODUCT POLICY

Our products are made of a mix of materials. Anyone with high sensitivity or issues with nickel would be advised not to purchase as they can cause mild to severe irritation. The items are made of a mix of stainless steel, copper, zinc alloy and nickel. Buying these items is at the buyer's risk. Please beware if you have any medical issues that warrant you not to wear jewellery with this material makeup.

We have made every effort to display as accurately as possible the colours and images of our products. We cannot guarantee that your computer monitor's display of any colour will be accurate.

If you have sensitive skin we advise caution to anyone wearing any kind of metals on their skin for prolonged periods. If you are aware that you have sensitive skin and are prone to reactions or have had green skin tarnishing before we advise you not to purchase fashion jewellery and we take no responsibility or liability for any reactions that may take place; It is the responsibility of the customer to ensure all precautions are taken as we are unable to know each individual's allergies and sensitivities.

All gold plated rings will have traces of copper as this contributes to the colour (Yellow Gold and Rose Gold). Some of our fashion jewellery is brass based. If you have had greening before with brass based jewellery then we highly suggest you buy 925 sterling silver instead of brass-based. We have many 925 Sterling Silver items on our website. The metal composition will be stated on the product page, please read it carefully before purchasing.


Please note that our LAUREN X LYNOTT CÉN T-AM É FUNCTIONAL watch ring is not waterproof due to the nature of the product. Additionally, we are not responsible for the replacement of the battery.

If you decide you want to purchase the brass version and if your hands are high in acidity, you may experience some oxidisation (slight greening). (Please note that chemicals in hand cream and lotions can also react with your jewellery so you must let your skin dry before putting on any jewellery). This is common with even high-end jewellery. If this is the case for you, you may wish to go for our 925 sterling silver jewellery instead or Solid Gold jewellery. You can prevent oxidisation by adding a layer of clear nail varnish or polymer coating inside the ring.

We are unable to refund you if your skin turns green as this entirely depends on the individual.

Welding Conditions (Bracelets, Anklets and Handchains)

Lynott Jewellery offers a permanent jewellery welding service, whereby a chain (such as a bracelet, necklace, hand chain or anklet) is custom-fitted and welded closed directly onto the wearer.

The jewellery does not have a traditional clasp and is intended to be worn continuously. The process involves a professional welding procedure using a specialised machine that creates a small spark to secure the chain. This service is typically performed in-store and requires informed consent due to the physical and environmental considerations associated with welding near the body.

Eligibility and Consent

To avail of this service you must be over 16 years of age. If you are under 16, you must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.

Booking Policy

Booking deposits are re-schedulable but non-refundable. No-shows or cancellations without sufficient
notice will result in loss of deposit.

Procedure and Environment

The procedure involves welding equipment that produces bright flashes and sparks. The environment
is not suitable for individuals with epilepsy, photosensitivity, or similar conditions.

Medical Disclaimer

Once booked you accept all risks associated with the permanent jewellery welding process. These risks include, but are not limited to: skin irritation, allergic reactions, infection, scarring, burns, and physical injury from catching or pulling the jewellery. You confirm that you do not suffer from medical conditions such as epilepsy, metal allergies, photosensitivity, or dermatological conditions that may be aggravated by this procedure. You assume all medical risks voluntarily and agree that Lynott Jewellery, its staff, and associated venues are not liable for any resulting harm.

Aftercare and Customer Responsibility

Once booked you agree to follow all aftercare instructions provided by Lynott Jewellery. Any failure to follow aftercare guidance may result in damage, irritation, or injury for which Lynott Jewellery accepts no
responsibility. Permanent jewellery may break, snap, or loosen with regular use. This is considered normal wear and tear. Lost chains are non-refundable. Repairs require a store visit and are subject to additional charges.

Data Protection

By proceeding with a booking, you consent to the collection and processing of your personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Indemnity

By proceeding you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Lynott Jewellery, its employees, affiliates, and locations (including BT2 Blanchardstown, Arnott's, Dundrum and Cork) from any claims, damages, or liabilities arising out of your participation in this service.

Limitation of Liability

Although our chains are of the highest quality, they can break like any piece of jewellery. The word 'permanent' refers to the fact that there is no clasp like ordinary jewellery where you can take it on and off, it is welded permanently on your wrist. However, like any piece of jewellery it can loosen or snap by pulling or catching on something. If a chain breaks it must be brought back to the store in order for a repair where additional fees may apply. Lost chains are non-refundable.

Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Ireland, and any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Irish courts.

Effective Date & Modifications

These Terms have an Effective Date of 25 July 2025. We reserve the right to amend these Terms at any time. Any changes will be posted on our website with an updated “Effective Date”. Continued use of the service constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

Repairs and Replacements

If your bracelet, anklet or hand chain needs to be rewelded within the first 3 months of purchase, we will do this free of charge. After 3 months, rewelding is considered general wear and tear and may incur a fee.

After 3 months from the date of purchase, there is a €15 fee to have your bracelet rewelded; we do not provide chain replacements, and the original chain must be returned for the rewelding service.

Fingerprint Engraving Service Terms & Conditions

Lynott Jewellery offers a custom fingerprint engraving service whereby a fingerprint image is
engraved onto a piece of jewellery or other product. This service is available in-store ( Arnotts, BT2 Blanchardstown, Dundrum and Cork ), via scanning of
the fingerprint using our approved scanning devices, and remotely, allowing you to take a fingerprint impression at home and upload an image of that fingerprint via our website.

Eligibility and Parental Consent

Where the fingerprint provided belongs to a minor (under the age of 18), you confirm and warrant that
you are the parent or legal guardian of the child and have full legal authority to provide consent on their behalf. By submitting a fingerprint, you confirm that you are over 18 years of age, or where the fingerprint is not your own, you have obtained informed consent from the data subject, or where applicable, their legal guardian.

Data Protection & GDPR Compliance

We are committed to protecting your personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018. Fingerprint data may constitute biometric data and is treated as special category personal data under GDPR. By submitting a fingerprint you explicitly consent to our collection, processing, and use of that fingerprint for the purpose of engraving a product ordered from us. We do not store fingerprint images beyond what is strictly necessary to fulfil your order. Once the engraving is completed and the product dispatched, we permanently delete or anonymise any fingerprint data in accordance with our Data Retention Policy. Your data will never be used for profiling, marketing, or shared with third parties other than our processing partners necessary to fulfil the service. For more information, see our Privacy Policy.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law our total liability arising from or related to the use of our services shall be limited to the amount paid by you for the specific product or service. We shall not be liable for errors caused by unclear or poor-quality fingerprint submissions, any loss, damage, inconvenience, or injury resulting fingerprint scanner, any indirect, consequential, or incidental damages of any kind. Nothing in these Terms shall exclude liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence or for fraud.

Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Lynott Jewellery, its employees, affiliates, and locations (including BT2, Arnotts, Dundrum and Cork) from any claims, damages, or liabilities arising out of your participation in this
service.

Intellectual Property

All engraving designs, packaging, trademarks, logos, and any intellectual property used in connection with this service remain the sole property of Lynott Jewellery.

Right to Refuse Orders

We reserve the right to reject any fingerprint submission that is of poor quality or unsuitable for
engraving, appears to be submitted without proper consent and/or contains offensive, illegal, or inappropriate content.

Right to Cancel

You may cancel your order within 14 days of purchase if the product has not yet been engraved. Once a fingerprint has been used to customise a product, you waive your right to cancel under the Consumer Rights Directive (2011/83/EU).

WEAR AND TEAR POLICY AND REPLACEMENT/REPAIRS POLICY

All plated jewellery including sterling silver will tarnish over time. To extend the life of the jewellery, we recommend giving your jewellery occasional breaks away from any moisture; this includes sweat, lotion, sunblock and perfumes. Please do not wear your jewellery in the shower or when washing your hands. It is very important to keep your jewellery away from chemicals/hand creams. All fashion jewellery will experience normal wear and tear over time.

IMPORTANT: If you have sensitive skin we advise caution to anyone wearing any kind of metals on their skin for prolonged periods. If you are aware that you have sensitive skin and are prone to reactions or have had green skin tarnishing before we advise you not to purchase brass-based fashion jewellery and we take no responsibility or liability for any reactions that may take place; It is the responsibility of the customer to ensure all precautions are taken as we are unable to know each individual's allergies and sensitivities. We are unable to offer a free replacement or a refund if you experience skin oxidisation with our copper-based jewellery since each individuals skin type are all different. Please note that skin oxidisation is also harmless. Oxidisation of our brass-based fashion jewellery is not covered in our replacement/repairs policy as this is not due to a fault in our products but rather depends on each individual.
